Community Sector Senior Grant Specialist/SME

Location: Remote from the United States, or from hirify.global’s Minneapolis or Wisconsin offices; candidates in the upper Midwest U.S. are preferred. Remote, hybrid, and in-office arrangements are available.

Salary: $145,300–$183,400 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead strategic client relationships and growth initiatives within the Community Sector.
• Develop funding strategies and grant development plans for projects of different sizes and complexity.
• Manage hirify.global’s grant development portfolio and serve as the internal funding strategy SME.
• Collaborate with Consulting, Engineering, Field Services, and Restoration teams on client projects and business development pursuits.
• Contribute to proposals, presentations, marketing, thought leadership, and market opportunity analysis.
• Mentor staff, support recruiting needs, and represent hirify.global with clients, agencies, community organizations, and professional associations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, planning, public administration, communications, social sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive consulting or industry experience focused on client service, funding strategy, grant development, and project execution.
• Proven success securing grant funding for multidisciplinary initiatives and small- to medium-sized projects.
• Experience in market development, business development, project management, proposal development, and marketing strategy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree, continuing education, professional certification, licensure, or other relevant credentials.
• Recognized technical expertise in a specialized discipline and experience serving as a subject matter expert.
