Sr. Qualitative Research & Evaluation Team Lead (Energy Programs)

Location: Remote from Louisville, Colorado, United States, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, or other locations in the United States

Salary: $103,000–$174,000 per year, plus potential discretionary annual bonus

What you will do

• Lead qualitative energy program process evaluations and market characterization studies.
• Manage research and evaluation projects from concept through implementation, including plans, budgets, deliverables, and presentations.
• Oversee surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, sampling strategies, outreach, data analysis, and reporting.
• Coordinate with quantitative evaluation teams and lead client and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide mentorship, subject matter expertise, quality control, and technical report-writing support.
• Develop existing and new client business, including lead generation and proposal development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as social or environmental sciences, public policy, or economics with a quantitative focus.
• At least 5 years of experience evaluating Demand-Side Management programs; 10+ years is preferred.
• Expert knowledge of energy programs and qualitative evaluation and research methodologies.
• Experience serving as the primary client contact and managing multiple competing priorities.
• Excellent writing, communication, computer, and consulting business skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Experience with net-to-gross evaluation and program attribution surveys or research.
• Experience as a qualitative energy consultant and in leading teams.
