Senior Azure Application Operations Engineer (Azure)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal — hybrid. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in Europe.

What you will do

• Integrate and onboard applications into Azure, including deployment and configuration.
• Provide Level 2/3 operational support, manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Monitor application health and performance using Dynatrace, SolarWinds, and Splunk.
• Manage releases, patches, maintenance activities, SLA/SLO monitoring, and operational KPIs.
• Improve application scalability, resilience, performance, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, post-mortems, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in cloud operations, particularly with Azure applications.
• Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Functions, SQL, Storage, and Key Vault.
• Strong knowledge of Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Splunk, incident management, troubleshooting, and log analysis.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, DevOps/GitOps practices, and application deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates and scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in Europe are required.
