Manager, Commercial Energy

Location: Remote in Massachusetts, United States; office location listed as Waltham, Massachusetts.

Salary: $89,261–$151,744 annually; anticipated base salary up to $95,000 annually.

What you will do

• Manage and lead the technical team, including approvals, check-ins, performance reviews, and personnel support.
• Provide administrative and technical expertise to clients, trade allies, and program participants.
• Coordinate invoicing, performance dashboards, KPI tracking, reporting, and financial forecasting.
• Support client meetings, working groups, newsletters, progress reports, and trade ally events.
• Build relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, energy raters, inspectors, public officials, and other home improvement market actors.
• Develop program strategies, technical features, outreach plans, recruitment activities, and QA/QC protocols to achieve energy savings targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, architecture, energy, building science, construction management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in residential or commercial energy efficiency.
• Experience with energy efficiency programs, energy modeling, energy efficiency technologies and products, and commercial energy issues in existing buildings and new construction.
• Project management proficiency, including budgets, organizational procedures, and cross-operational personnel management.
• Knowledge of building science principles and/or construction building codes.

Nice to have

• HERS, BPI, CEM, AIA, LEED, or Passive House credentials.
• Established relationships with residential construction market actors, including architects, engineers, contractors, real estate agents, developers, and public officials.
