Sr. Project Finance Analyst

What you will do

• Partner with Project Managers and Operations Leaders to support the financial performance of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review contracts and ensure correct project setup, revenue recognition, billing, and delivery requirements.
• Manage revenue, margin, backlog, unbilled accounts, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable metrics.
• Ensure accurate invoicing and collections, support month-end close, and prepare financial reviews and analysis.
• Identify financial risks, trends, improvement opportunities, and solutions for aging unbilled balances and receivables issues.
• Collaborate with Operations, Contracts, Accounting, and Tax; support audits, special projects, onboarding, training, and best-practice development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in project accounting, finance, auditing, revenue analysis, or similar roles.
• Understanding of revenue recognition and project-based financial management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret financial results and recommend actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build partnerships with project and operational stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong ownership, accountability, curiosity, proactive issue resolution, confidence partnering with leaders, and commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer service.

• Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
