Senior Manager, Finance and Compliance

Location: Arlington, VA, United States. Hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Current US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $150,000–$185,000.

What you will do

• Serve as a finance business partner to senior leadership, advising on project performance, risks, opportunities, and decisions.
• Lead project financial management, including forecasting, budgeting, revenue recognition, fee analysis, receivables, and performance reporting.
• Monitor funding, expenditures, variances, financial risks, mitigation strategies, and project compliance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Support project buy-ins, contract modifications, funding actions, pricing analysis, and compliance with US Government requirements.
• Support close activities, reconciliations, audits, payroll reviews, indirect cost rate monitoring, NICRA requirements, and international accounting tasks.

Requirements

• Strong financial management, accounting, business administration, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, government accounting regulations, CAS, FAR, and government and commercial contract types.
• Advanced Excel expertise, including financial modeling, complex datasets, pivot tables, lookup functions, and reporting systems.
• Experience with corporate and project audits, internal controls, compliance, financial governance, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using Deltek Costpoint.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Termination Settlement Proposals involving the US Government.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint.
