Associate, New Verticals - Convenience Strategy & Operations (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with a few days per month in person, based in New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; Washington, D.C.; Tempe, AZ; or Mountain View, CA

Salary: $74,800–$110,000 USD annual base salary, localized according to employee work location

What you will do

• Identify, validate, and launch high-impact initiatives that create growth opportunities across the convenience merchant base.
• Develop strategies to improve selection, discoverability, quality, and hirify.global’s position in convenience shopping.
• Lead operational improvement projects that increase order accuracy, fulfillment speed, and customer satisfaction.
• Streamline in-store fulfillment processes for Dashers and merchant partners.
• Build programs that improve inventory accuracy and keep platform availability aligned with in-store stock.
• Partner with growth, quality, finance, product, and engineering teams to deliver initiatives.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience in analytical, cross-functional work across technology, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related field.
• Ability to pull data with SQL and build models in Excel.
• Experience synthesizing complex problems, translating goals into actionable plans, and implementing processes.
• Entrepreneurial ownership, bias for action, and comfort working in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
• Active interest in using AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Gemini to automate workflows, accelerate analysis, and build prototypes.
• Completed Bachelor’s degree.
