Engineering Manager, Proactive Security (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada; listed conditions include Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York.

Salary: $193,800–$285,000 USD base pay, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Set the technical vision and roadmap for Security Product Engineering, Bug Bounty, and Vulnerability Management teams.
• Lead engineers as a player-coach, addressing customer, merchant, and Dasher security problems and reducing classes of vulnerabilities.
• Build proactive security controls into hirify.global products, including authentication, passkeys, AI guardrails, and secure remote access capabilities.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Legal, Security Engineering Platform, Data, and other cross-functional groups to support secure-by-design practices.
• Lead Bug Bounty, penetration testing, and Vulnerability Management programs against sophisticated adversaries.
• Build operationally excellent security services and support the responsible adoption of AI tools.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience as a Security Product Engineer in an internet-scale organization.
• 3+ years of demonstrated technical leadership managing teams and delivering outcomes at global scale.
• Technical leadership experience in Account Security, Product Security Engineering, and AI Security across B2C, B2B, and B2V controls.
• Experience designing scalable security controls and processes that meet regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading security reviews, root cause analysis for incidents, and long-term remediation roadmaps.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
