Senior Associate, New Verticals - Grocery Merchant Strategy & Operations

Location: Hybrid role with a few days per month in person in New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; Washington, D.C.; Tempe, AZ; or Mountain View, CA. The position is within the United States.

Salary: $87,000–$128,000 USD base pay annually, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Develop strategies for serving dashers, merchants, and consumers across grocery marketplace operations.
• Lead growth projects for major grocery merchants, including portfolio management and onboarding every available SKU or service.
• Ideate and launch 0-1 initiatives, new merchant services, operational experiments, product features, and tooling.
• Own tracking dashboards and week-over-week metrics to improve operational quality.
• Build Excel and SQL models to evaluate the economic, operational, and strategic impact of programs and experiments.
• Partner with growth, quality, finance, product, engineering, analytics, and business development teams to deliver initiatives.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of experience in analytical and cross-functional work in technology, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, including independently querying data with SQL and building models in Excel.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems from first principles and translate goals into actionable plans.
• Ownership, entrepreneurial initiative, and comfort building new programs from the ground up.
• Active interest in using AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Gemini to automate workflows, accelerate analysis, and build prototypes.
• Completed bachelor's degree, ideally in economics, business, finance, or a related business field.
