Senior Associate, New Verticals - Grocery Merchant Strategy & Operations

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; Washington, D.C.; Tempe, AZ; or Mountain View, CA. The team meets in person a few days per month.

Salary: $87,000–$128,000 USD base salary annually, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Develop strategies for serving merchants, consumers, and dashers across the grocery marketplace.
• Lead growth projects for major grocery merchants, including portfolio management and SKU or service onboarding.
• Launch 0-to-1 merchant initiatives, operational experiments, product features, and new tooling.
• Own tracking dashboards and manage week-over-week operational metrics.
• Build SQL and Excel models to evaluate the economic, operational, and strategic impact of programs and experiments.
• Partner with growth, quality, finance, product, engineering, analytics, and business development teams to deliver initiatives.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of experience in analytical, strategic, operational, consulting, banking, technology, or related work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to query data with SQL and build models in Excel.
• Experience translating complex problems and high-level goals into actionable plans and implemented processes.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of outcomes, operate amid ambiguity, and build initiatives from the ground up.
• Active interest in using AI tools to automate repetitive work, accelerate analysis, build prototypes, and develop product visions.
• Completed bachelor’s degree, ideally in economics, business, finance, or a related field.
