What you will do
- Define engineering strategy and long-term technical direction across the technology estate.
- Guide multiple engineering teams and provide technical direction on complex engineering challenges and high-impact decisions.
- Drive quality engineering standards through automation, testing practices, and governance frameworks.
- Embed secure-by-design principles and security best practices across teams and platforms.
- Establish and evolve observability capabilities covering logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
- Mentor, develop, and empower engineers while influencing architecture, tooling, and investment decisions.
Requirements
- Significant experience providing technical leadership in complex engineering environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies, serverless architectures, and microservices patterns.
- Expertise in quality engineering, automated testing strategies, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong understanding of secure software development principles and security frameworks.
- Experience implementing observability strategies using logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting tools.
- Technical expertise in Java, AWS, Spring Framework, Node.js, Docker, and modern Agile delivery practices, plus the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex concepts clearly.
