Product Lead Counsel (Cryptocurrency)

Location: Asia; full-time onsite or remote

What you will do

• Lead global product legal support across ideation, launch, and ongoing operations.
• Advise product teams on regulatory implications of new features, enhancements, and market expansions across jurisdictions.
• Assess and mitigate regulatory risks across spot and derivatives trading, payments, digital assets, and emerging products.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, compliance, risk, and business development teams to integrate legal considerations into product development.
• Build scalable product compliance frameworks and controls, and participate in product governance decisions.
• Engage with regulators and external counsel, monitor regulatory developments, and deliver workshops and training.

Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in a leading jurisdiction with significant international regulatory legal experience.
• 10+ years of experience in regulatory legal roles, preferably in-house at a technology, financial services, or cryptocurrency company.
• Deep knowledge of global financial product regulation, including spot and derivatives trading, payment systems, and digital assets.
• Experience working with product and engineering teams, managing complex regulatory matters, and engaging with regulators across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience leading and scaling legal teams across regions.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, business judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
