Deputy General Counsel, Strategic Partnerships & Institutions (Crypto)

Location: Hybrid role in New York, United States; San Jose, California, United States; or elsewhere in the United States

Salary: $200,355–$300,533 per year, plus potential performance bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Advise on strategic alliances, partnership agreements, cooperation agreements, incentive agreements, exchange integrations, staking, co-investments, and trading arrangements.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage high-stakes commercial agreements, joint ventures, and technology alliances.
• Advise on cross-border transactions, crypto product structuring, and multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance.
• Support strategic partnerships, institutional and trading businesses, and the peer-to-peer platform.
• Translate complex legal and regulatory issues into commercially actionable guidance for product, engineering, business development, and executive teams.
• Collaborate with product and business development teams to align new products and initiatives with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Law degree and eligibility to practice as an advocate.
• Senior lawyer with at least 10 years of experience at a law firm, digital assets company, or top-tier financial institution.
• Track record at a top-tier law firm or in-house at a leading financial institution, including digital assets experience.
• Deal-level experience with strategic partnerships, cooperation agreements, incentive agreements, and other commercial transactions.
• Excellent drafting, communication, organization, and independent working skills in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Ability to provide practical legal advice and navigate rapidly evolving regulatory frameworks.
