Virtual Urgent Care/Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)

Location: Fully remote within one of the contiguous 50 states; four 10-hour shifts per week from 11am-9pm EST, including one weekend shift per month. Some geographies may include weekend on-call support.

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 base annually, plus a performance-based bonus of $10,000–$20,000, for total compensation of $130,000–$170,000.

What you will do

• Conduct virtual Care OnDemand visits for acute illnesses, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and medication prescribing.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and establish collaborative care plans.
• Assess quality-of-care interventions, social needs, home health needs, and durable medical equipment requirements.
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, specialists, pharmacy, clinical nursing, social work, family members, and caregivers.
• Use the electronic health information system for visits and provide feedback to improve the interface.
• Support weekend nurse triage and new clinical programs or innovative virtual care practices as needed.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, preferably in acute care, urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or internal medicine with significant acute management.
• For Nurse Practitioners: active, unrestricted RN and APRN licenses in good standing.
• For Physician Assistants: an active Physician Assistant license in good standing.
• Ability to obtain licenses in requested states within 90 days of hire and obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• Experience managing acute and chronic disease exacerbations, including CHF, diabetic, COPD, and hypertensive emergencies.
• Adaptability, willingness to learn, and flexibility in scope of practice in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills.
• Experience in geriatrics or telehealth video visits.
• Experience in primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, or emergency room settings.
