Data Migration Specialist

What you will do

• Receive and assess client data files in CSV, Excel, and other flat-file formats for completeness, structure, duplicates, and anomalies.
• Organize, clean, reshape, and validate data using advanced Excel capabilities, including XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and Power Query.
• Use basic SQL queries to extract targeted datasets from client databases when needed.
• Prepare data for extraction into the proprietary migration tool and execute imports into client applications.
• Validate post-import results, troubleshoot mapping and import errors, and escalate systemic issues when appropriate.
• Track migration status, document transformation steps and resolutions, and complete work within onboarding timelines.

Requirements

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and Power Query.
• Familiarity with structured data formats such as CSV, Excel, and flat files.
• Ability to interpret data relationships and identify structural, formatting, and mapping errors.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, organization, and consistent process execution across multiple workstreams.
• Clear written communication and the ability to explain data issues and corrections to internal stakeholders.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Basic SQL experience for querying and extracting data from relational databases.
• Exposure to SaaS onboarding or data migration workflows.
