AI Software Developer III (Fullstack)

Location: Hybrid; work from an HPE office an average of 2 days per week

What you will do

• Build responsive and accessible front-end components and pages.
• Develop backend REST and gRPC APIs, business logic, data models, CRUD flows, pagination, and integrations.
• Integrate authentication and authorization, telemetry, analytics, storage systems, and external LLM, agent, or RAG services.
• Write unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end tests while adding validation, error handling, logging, metrics, and traces.
• Optimize rendering, bundle size, API latency, database queries, caching, and retry behavior.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment manifests, Docker containerization, feature flags, configuration, secrets management, and incident triage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Typically 4–7 years of professional experience.
• Experience with React or Angular, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, Tailwind or Material, responsive design, and accessibility.
• Experience with Python and FastAPI/Flask or Node and Express/NestJS, plus REST/gRPC APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, ORMs, automated testing, Docker, CI/CD, cloud services, and observability.
• Good networking knowledge and the ability to collaborate with designers, product managers, QA, and senior engineers.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience consuming LLM and agent APIs, managing token, latency, and cost controls, and integrating RAG services.
• Knowledge of prompt and response logging and guardrails for AI applications.
