Systems Engineer (Automotive Power Systems)

What you will do

• Develop 12V and 48V power supply hardware architectures and power distribution concepts for new vehicle platforms.
• Apply systems engineering methods to define vehicle-level requirements and use cases.
• Derive hardware architecture requirements and cascade them to power supply components and subsystems.
• Implement ISO 26262 functional safety principles for power supply architectures.
• Coordinate power management controls and support integration of low-voltage power networks into complete vehicle systems.
• Collaborate with component engineers, suppliers, and internal engineering workstreams on development, validation, packaging, and system performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience designing, analyzing, sizing, and verifying automotive electrical systems, especially low-voltage power supply architectures.
• Experience with 12V and/or 48V automotive power supply systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
• Experience applying ISO 26262 functional safety standards in the automotive domain.
• Ability to use AI tools and methods for analysis, optimization, or problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with complex vehicle electrical architectures and 12V/48V automotive power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with FEDE, Jama, GPDS, Jira, MATLAB, or Simulink.
• Knowledge of automotive communication and experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
