Software Engineer I

What you will do

• Research, design, implement, and sustain containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense.
• Develop mission-critical software systems supporting U.S. Navy mission planning and execution.
• Learn and contribute to development in Java, Groovy, Kotlin, object-oriented languages, and front-end frameworks.
• Enhance automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing across software systems.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. national security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, are required.
• Associate degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• At least two years of software development experience.
• Familiarity with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Comfort working in Linux environments.
• Experience with Gradle or Maven.
