Java Backend Developer (Banking, CIAM)

Location: Remote or hybrid in the United States, with options in Coppell, Texas and New York, New York

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and release Java backend applications and scalable services.
• Develop and test REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including coding, unit testing, deployment, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
• Analyze user requirements, define application objectives, and align technical designs with business goals.
• Coordinate with QA, application support, business stakeholders, and client teams.
• Follow agile development practices and refine user stories with the team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience, including Spring Core and Spring REST.
• Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and Java REST web services.
• Experience with Kafka, Hibernate, Oracle RDBMS, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in banking, CIAM, IAM, risk, or fraud-related solutions.
• Ability to write well-designed, testable code and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
