Senior Platform Engineering Manager

Salary: $183,000–$229,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead Engineering Managers and Platform Engineers across multiple platform engineering teams.
• Translate platform strategy into priorities, outcomes, roadmaps, and investment plans with Product and Engineering leadership.
• Drive development and adoption of the Internal Developer Platform, including developer tooling, workflows, APIs, templates, integrations, and platform services.
• Enable secure-by-default, self-service, and automated workflows for engineers and AI agents.
• Influence architecture and technical direction while managing dependencies, trade-offs, and blockers across Engineering, Product, and Security.
• Improve platform reliability and operational maturity through SLOs, observability, incident data, platform metrics, and developer feedback.

Requirements

• Experience leading multiple engineering teams in platform engineering, infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or a related environment.
• Experience managing and developing Engineering Managers and engineers while building high-performing teams.
• Track record of delivering internal platforms or products at scale that improve developer productivity, reliability, or operational efficiency.
• Experience building or scaling internal developer platforms and self-service capabilities using platform-as-a-product principles.
• Strong understanding of platform architecture, distributed systems, modern software delivery, and organizational-level technical trade-offs.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, GitOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership.

Nice to have

• Understanding of AI-assisted development and agent-based workflows.
• Adjacent platform engineering or infrastructure leadership experience that does not match every listed qualification.
