Senior Software Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: U.S. security-cleared role; candidates must already hold a TS/SCI clearance with a current Full Scope Polygraph before applying.

Salary: $260,000–$285,000 per year, plus $65,000–$71,000 in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions.

What you will do

• Lead the evaluation, configuration, and deployment of inference models.
• Build and maintain infrastructure that supports customer AI capabilities and AI-enabled applications.
• Develop services and techniques that ensure consistently high-quality inference.
• Translate high-level stakeholder goals into engineering outcomes and integrate LLM-powered tools.
• Mentor engineers and improve development practices, standards, and infrastructure.
• Support short-term, high-priority inference requirements in collaboration with other teams.

Requirements

• Must already hold a TS/SCI clearance with a current Full Scope Polygraph before applying.
• Clearance sponsorship or processing is not available for this position.
• 12 years of experience, plus a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 4 additional years of experience instead of the degree.
• Experience with Python or other modern programming languages, Argo CD or CI/CD frameworks, Kubernetes and Helm, and AWS or other cloud providers.
• Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, mentoring, and coordination skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with vLLM, LiteLLM, or similar inference-serving frameworks.
• Experience with LLM hosting frameworks, SRE practices, traffic shaping, or quality-of-service engineering.
• Experience with Elastic, Grafana, Prometheus, Docker, and containerization.
• Knowledge of and interest in hosting AI capabilities.
