Engineering Manager, Artifacts & Registry - W&B (AI)

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; or Bellevue, WA. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status or eligibility for applicable export authorization.

Salary: $165,000–$242,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a team of six engineers responsible for Artifacts and Registry within the ML Workflows organization.
• Own the full lifecycle from roadmap shaping and prioritization through delivery and production reliability.
• Extend Registry capabilities to support model promotion into serving on CoreWeave compute with lineage and access control.
• Partner with CoreWeave infrastructure and W&B product teams to unify compute and experimentation workflows.
• Maintain reliability for systems handling customer data, uptime, storage, lineage, permissions, and automation.
• Grow engineers into autonomous leaders and technical decision-makers while championing AI-forward development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management experience shipping platform, data, or infrastructure products.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience before management, with strong backend systems experience.
• Technical fluency in Go or a comparable statically typed backend language, relational data modeling, and distributed backend systems.
• Experience managing production systems where customer data durability and correctness are primary constraints.
• Experience balancing product delivery with technical debt, reliability, and on-call responsibilities.
• Strong communication, roadmap partnership, prioritization, and people-development skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML infrastructure, ML platforms, model registries, or developer tools for data scientists.
• Background in object storage, content-addressable storage, deduplication, garbage collection, or large production databases.
• Experience with ClickHouse or another OLAP store, multi-tenant permissions, RBAC, or enterprise access control.
• Experience with post-acquisition platform integration, mature product expansion, or founding and early-stage product development.
