What you will do

• Lead an engineering team developing next-generation Materialized View features for the Databricks Lakeflow platform.
• Build capabilities supporting ETL workloads and query acceleration.
• Recruit, hire, coach, and develop engineering talent.
• Translate product vision and strategy into effective engineering processes and execution.
• Build high-quality, reliable, and easy-to-operate software and infrastructure services.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams.
• At least 5 years of experience building data infrastructure systems such as Apache Spark or database internals.
• Strong interest or experience in database systems, storage systems, distributed systems, or performance optimization.
• Experience collaborating with product management and working directly with customers to understand their needs.
• Experience owning testing, quality, reliability, and Service Level Agreements for infrastructure products.
• Experience attracting, hiring, coaching, and developing engineers in complex technical domains.
