What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT Project Managers through coaching and performance management.
- Drive business value by aligning project outcomes with strategic goals and improving delivery processes.
- Coordinate resource allocation and dependencies across IT teams, business units, and product stakeholders.
- Standardize project management methodologies, processes, and KPIs across the department.
- Partner with the Transformation Director on strategic initiatives, portfolio health reporting, and organizational improvement.
- Personally lead one or two high-stakes strategic technology projects and manage escalations and governance.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in IT project management and complex technology project delivery.
- Proven experience leading, managing, and developing project management professionals.
- Experience overseeing project portfolios and supporting strategic departmental goals and change management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Proactive, hands-on leadership style with the ability to engage senior and executive stakeholders.
- Business proficiency in English and availability for the Barcelona hybrid work model.
Nice to have
- Experience using applied AI tools such as Gemini or other AI-powered assistants.
- Curiosity about integrating emerging AI-driven solutions into workflows and problem solving.
