What you will do
- Lead characterization and verification of SiC diodes, SiC/Si MOSFETs, Schottky diodes, and IGBTs.
- Define test specifications and verification plans with design leaders and product definers.
- Develop automated test setups, measurement systems, test circuitry, and data analysis methods.
- Analyze measurement data and prepare technical reports for datasheets and internal design documentation.
- Establish and ramp up a new characterization laboratory, including equipment planning, processes, workflows, and operational readiness.
- Lead engineers and technicians while coordinating capacity, resources, equipment utilization, global knowledge transfer, and international project support.
Requirements
- Proven experience in power semiconductor characterization, including SiC and silicon-based technologies.
- Strong electrical measurement experience with oscilloscopes, parameter analyzers, PXI systems, and related equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of measurement circuit design, high-speed switching, thermal behavior, fast di/dt and dV/dt events, and surge pulse testing.
- Knowledge of IEC 60747 and JEDEC JESD14 standards, including Rth/Zth and time-based thermal measurement methodologies.
- Experience with automated test development using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C, C++, or C#, plus PCB design and test fixture development.
- Leadership experience managing technical teams or laboratories, along with knowledge of laboratory safety, EHS, high-voltage/high-current risks, calibration, maintenance, and CapEx planning.
