TL;DR
Cyber Case Manager - Assistant Vice President (Cybersecurity): Managing end-to-end security case lifecycles across SOC incidents, investigations, remediation, audit, and legal-hold workflows with an accent on case ownership, prioritization, documentation, and evidence integrity. Focus on integrating SIEM/SOAR workflows, tracking SLA and incident metrics, coordinating cross-functional responders, and driving complex cases to closure.

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Hybrid schedule: in-office Monday–Thursday, remote Friday.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually, plus equity and annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Own security cases from intake and assignment through resolution, closure, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Maintain prioritized, real-time visibility into SOC incidents and investigations, escalating aging, blocked, or at-risk cases.
  • Coordinate work across incident response, DFIR, insider threat, vulnerability remediation, GRC, audit, eDiscovery, and legal-hold workflows.
  • Integrate case workflows with SIEM and SOAR platforms, using Jira and Confluence as systems of record.
  • Produce SOC metrics and leadership reporting, including MTTD, MTTR, backlog, aging, closure rates, and SLA adherence.
  • Facilitate case reviews, regional handoffs, lessons learned, and after-hours coordination for high-priority cases.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or security case and program management.
  • Hands-on experience managing incident or case queues in a SOC or incident response environment.
  • Working knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of incident response lifecycles and frameworks such as NIST and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams, handle sensitive investigations and evidence, and maintain chain of custody.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or information technology is preferred; financial services or fintech experience is preferred.

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as GCIH, GCFE, PMP, ITIL, Splunk, or SOAR.
  • Experience with ServiceNow SIR, TheHive, Splunk SOAR, or Phantom.
  • Exposure to insider threat, DFIR, eDiscovery, legal hold, GRC, audit, AWS, or Agile frameworks.
