Senior Data Scientist (Generative AI)

Location: Sydney, NSW or Melbourne, VIC; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

What you will do

• Partner with Strategy & Operations and ANZ executive teams to support business decisions.
• Analyze marketplace dynamics, user behaviours, KPI trends, and long-term business performance.
• Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, Python, R, and statistical tools.
• Identify and measure business levers, size problems, and develop data-driven recommendations.
• Apply Generative AI models and tools to analytics work.
• Use hypothesis testing, A/B testing, causal inference, and other experimentation techniques to validate findings.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or related quantitative roles.
• Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Strong SQL experience, basic ETL knowledge, and experience with regression techniques.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python or R.
• Experience with experimentation techniques and interpreting hypothesis tests.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems using structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported approaches and collaborate across strategy, operations, product, finance, and engineering.
