What you will do

• Assist licensed occupational therapists with patient care under physician-established plans of treatment.
• Administer occupational therapy treatment programs and teach activities of daily living.
• Train patients in the proper use of prosthetic devices and adaptive equipment.
• Observe, document, and report patient conditions, functional changes, testing results, and responses to treatment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow agency policies, including HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

• Current occupational therapy assistant license in Florida required.
• At least one year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors.
• CPR, OSHA, HIV/AIDS, HIPAA, Alzheimer's, Medical Errors, Domestic Violence, and Human Trafficking certificates.
• Valid in-state driver's license, current vehicle registration and insurance, and no more than two driving-record points within the last three years required.
• Personal vehicle liability insurance with minimum limits of 100,000/300,000/100,000 required.
• TB screening is required for this patient-facing role.
