Associate Manager, New Verticals - Convenience Strategy & Operations

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; Washington, D.C.; Tempe, AZ; or Chicago, IL. The team meets in person a few days per month.

Salary: $105,400–$155,000 USD base salary, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Develop the fulfillment strategy for the convenience network and streamline in-store fulfillment.
• Lead initiatives that improve inventory accuracy and synchronize platform data with in-store availability.
• Own the operational roadmap, long-term vision, and performance metrics for convenience shopping.
• Build dashboards, track weekly metrics, and run operational experiments and product initiatives.
• Use AI tools to automate repetitive workflows, build prototypes, and develop product visions.
• Analyze economic, operational, and strategic trade-offs using SQL and Excel, while collaborating with growth, quality, finance, product, and engineering.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in analytical, cross-functional environments such as technology, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including first-principles thinking and complex problem synthesis.
• Experience querying data with SQL and building models in Excel.
• Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans and implement operational processes.
• Entrepreneurial ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to work across strategic and detailed operational levels.
• Completed Bachelor’s degree.

• MBA.
• Experience actively experimenting with AI tools and building AI-enabled workflows.
