Director of Events (Web3)

Location: Global and remote-based; some working-hours overlap with Eastern Standard Time (EST) is expected

Annual cash compensation for remote U.S. locations: $176,000–$333,000, plus long-term incentives and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and mentor a global team of event professionals.
• Define and execute the global event strategy in alignment with company, brand, and commercial objectives.
• Own the planning and delivery of SmartCon and Chainlink’s presence at major industry conferences.
• Deliver executive experiences, customer events, product launches, networking receptions, thought leadership forums, and strategic announcements.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Executive Leadership, Finance, Legal, and Procurement.
• Manage event budgets, vendors, negotiations, governance, operational standards, KPIs, attendee engagement, and pipeline influence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading large-scale events, including at least 3 years managing and developing high-performing event teams.
• Experience delivering flagship conferences, executive events, product launches, and sponsored industry events in technology, fintech, financial services, or startup environments.
• Experience developing strategic event programmes with measurable business outcomes.
• Experience managing significant budgets, commercial negotiations, agencies, and vendors.
• Strong people leadership, programme and project management, stakeholder management, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience measuring event performance, ROI, and business impact.

Nice to have

• Experience creating premium experiences for executive audiences, enterprise customers, or financial institutions.
• Experience in fintech, venture capital, or startup environments.
• Experience with hybrid or virtual events and event technology tools.
• Experience with event marketing metrics and measurement methodologies.
