Data Center Operations Cost Analyst

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Bellevue, WA. The role requires compliance with U.S. export-control regulations and may require U.S. person status or authorization to access controlled information.

Salary: $108,000–$143,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support pre-construction budgeting and cost modeling to optimize capital efficiency.
• Develop and maintain program-level cost forecasts across multiple data center projects and regions.
• Implement financial controls and prepare leadership reporting.
• Prepare cost estimates and commercial risk assessments for location strategy and investment decisions.
• Research construction cost benchmarks, escalation trends, and regional market rates.
• Coordinate with internal cost control resources and external cost consultants to ensure consistency and quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cost management, construction cost planning, and analysis.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with data center deployment, infrastructure projects, or cost management in a data center environment.
• Working knowledge of cost management, construction cost planning, and analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to identify cost drivers for leadership decision support.
• Ability to meet U.S. export-control access requirements.

Nice to have

• Exposure to data center infrastructure and GPU-based technologies.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Maximo, Tableau, AutoCAD Construction Cloud, Procore, Sunbird, Asana, SiteTracker, or building analytics and AI platforms.
• Experience supporting complex, multi-team technology and operational initiatives.
