Engineering Technician (CAD Drafting)

Location: Onsite at Blue Ops in Valdosta, Georgia, United States

Compensation: Base pay plus an annual equity package and potential bonuses.

What you will do

• Create and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and production documentation.
• Revise drawings and support configuration management, engineering changes, drawing libraries, and product records.
• Assist with component and fixture design, manufacturing aids, tooling, prototypes, testing, and product improvements.
• Provide direct production-floor support by resolving drawing, assembly, documentation, and configuration issues.
• Develop assembly and work instructions, visual manufacturing aids, and technical training materials.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to support production schedules and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Technical school certificate, associate degree, or equivalent practical experience in CAD drafting, engineering technology, mechanical design, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Ability to create and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong computer, organizational, communication, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence for ITAR/EAR-restricted work and must not require sponsorship for export-restricted work authorization.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or production support experience.
• Experience with unmanned systems, marine systems, robotics, or defense-related products.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems, engineering change processes, Jira, ERP, ISO 9001, or AS9100 environments.
• Knowledge of machining, fabrication, composites, assembly processes, and technical documentation.
