Senior Software Engineer (Azure)

Location: Onsite in San Francisco, California, United States. Must be a U.S. Person and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Salary: $140,000–$240,000 per year in base compensation, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate secure, scalable Azure infrastructure for distributed radar systems and backend services.
• Develop high-performance backend services that ingest, process, and distribute real-time sensor data.
• Define infrastructure as code, automate deployments, and improve the platform through DevOps practices.
• Own observability, monitoring, resiliency, and operational readiness for production systems.
• Shape platform architecture and make technical decisions supporting scale, maintainability, and new capabilities.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers to deliver secure end-to-end capabilities from sensor to cloud.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status is required: U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Strong backend and cloud engineering fundamentals with experience owning production services.
• Experience solving complex cloud infrastructure and distributed systems challenges.
• Commitment to reliability, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across software, hardware, and systems engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Python and modern backend development experience.
• Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Terraform, Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD.
• Real-time data pipelines or distributed systems experience.
• TypeScript/React experience or willingness to work across the stack.
