What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable distributed systems for the cloud automation platform, including the cloud control plane, Kubernetes, traffic, and networking.
- Deploy and maintain cloud compute servers and Kubernetes clusters in sensitive, sometimes air-gapped, production environments.
- Build software delivery pipelines supporting continuous delivery and automated compliance.
- Ensure operational readiness and meet customer commitments for security, reliability, availability, and performance.
- Collaborate with customers and product teams on critical problems, requirements, and service-level objectives for air-gapped deployments.
- Troubleshoot network and systems issues and automate routine operational tasks.
Requirements
- Current active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required; proof of clearance is required before an offer.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to federal law and government contract restrictions.
- Experience working in air-gapped environments and willingness to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- 7+ years of experience designing and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production, including recent public-sector deployment experience.
- Experience with storage systems, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi, database systems, database internals, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and development experience in Java, C++, Golang, or Python; an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
