What you will do

• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, overhead analysis, and profitability reporting.
• Report cost variances and provide clear month-end commentary and analysis.
• Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and Board pack preparation.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, overhead accounts, and cost centre coding.
• Support internal and external audits, compliance, governance, and accurate financial record-keeping.
• Improve finance reporting processes, collaborate with stakeholders, and prepare ad hoc reports and ONS statistical returns.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA accountant, or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in overheads and balance sheet control.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, financial modelling, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience with month-end processes, budgeting, forecasting, and translating financial data into meaningful business insight.
• Ability to attend Head Office in Greater Manchester on a hybrid basis.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Cognos or similar reporting tools.
