Fabrication Supervisor 3rd Shift (Manufacturing): Supervising metal or bus fabrication operations, production scheduling, safety compliance, quality control, and team development with an accent on lean manufacturing, material management, and shift performance. Focus on leading 40+ personnel, solving recurring production and quality issues, implementing 5S standards, and maintaining safe, efficient fabrication processes.

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; 100% in-office, no remote work

What you will do

  • Supervise Leads and machine operators on the 3rd shift, including scheduling, coaching, performance evaluations, and personnel issue resolution.
  • Maintain safety compliance through audits, hazard analyses, investigations, training records, and collaboration with EHS.
  • Monitor production schedules, timecards, staffing, capacity, PTO/UTO requests, and schedule delays.
  • Inspect completed products, address defects, and implement solutions for recurring quality issues.
  • Improve fabrication processes through lean manufacturing and 5S practices while managing materials, consumables, tools, and equipment.
  • Lead daily management board meetings, support hiring and onboarding, and develop training documentation and work procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; five additional years of relevant leadership experience may substitute for the degree.
  • At least two years of experience in fabrication or process engineering, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing and motivating a team of 40 or more personnel is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, bills of materials, and basic wiring diagrams.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, safety compliance, communication, organization, and time management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
