Senior Software Architect (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $240,000–$270,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and champion architectural visions for new and enhanced software products.
• Experiment with alternative architectures and validate designs against requirements and foundational assumptions.
• Create enterprise-scale models, component specifications, and interface documentation.
• Collaborate with product developers, product managers, and customer application experts to integrate features and modifications.
• Integrate complex components developed by distributed teams and provide technical guidance across departments.
• Lead and mentor planning analysts and developers on research-heavy technical initiatives.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience serving as a recognized technical authority on unusually complex software problems.
• Proven experience designing, modeling, and documenting enterprise-scale software architectures.
• Ability to translate high-level mission requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience working independently while leading cross-functional teams on highly complex projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, Spark, GitLab, or Jira.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud-native architecture and microservices.
• Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and secure government software environments.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps pipelines, or innovation labs.
