Java Developer II - AutoOps Services - Platform Applications (ELK)

Location: Remote, with candidates based nearly anywhere in Canada.

Salary: CAD 106,900–156,900 annual base salary, plus eligibility for stock participation and an RRSP match of up to 6%.

What you will do

• Develop clean, maintainable Java code and participate in code reviews.
• Design and implement RESTful services, third-party integrations, and business and infrastructure logic for the ELK stack.
• Build unit and integration tests while maintaining data consistency and system reliability.
• Investigate operational, performance, concurrency, and stability issues end to end.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support engineers to solve complex customer and product problems.
• Use AI tools to improve development, debugging, and problem-solving while applying sound engineering judgment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience programming in Java.
• Knowledge of system design and architecture.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful services.
• Familiarity with hirify.globalsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Experience troubleshooting performance, concurrency, and stability issues.
• Basic knowledge of a relational database, preferably PostgreSQL, and the ability to work autonomously in a distributed team.
