Software Engineer - AI

What you will do

• Build production AI experiences for conversational agents, business and website creation, knowledge and FAQ systems, content experiences, domain discovery, and intelligent automation.
• Translate product requirements into practical solutions using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, agents, deterministic workflows, and traditional software.
• Develop production AI services with Python, FastAPI, asynchronous workers, PostgreSQL, Redis, queues, model APIs, and external tools.
• Implement reliable agents and event-driven workflows with internal APIs, MCP tools, business systems, and knowledge sources.
• Build and improve RAG pipelines covering ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, reranking, metadata filtering, context construction, and citations.
• Measure and improve quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost through evaluations, observability, debugging, and production support.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience building production backend, distributed, or cloud-based systems.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Applied AI, LLM, RAG, NLP, or agent-based applications.
• Strong Python skills, including FastAPI, asynchronous programming, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy or SQLModel, and production API development.
• Strong backend and distributed-systems fundamentals, including REST APIs, concurrency, background processing, caching, reliability, and production debugging.
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or equivalent messaging architectures, plus PostgreSQL and data modeling.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs, building tool-calling or agent workflows, and contributing to RAG or knowledge-grounded systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, PydanticAI, MCP, LiteLLM, or similar agent technologies.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, observability, distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, or Langfuse.
• Experience with Azure AI Search, pgvector, Chroma, Kubernetes, Azure, OCI, open-weight model inference, or AI safety controls.
