Senior Software Developer (AI)

Location: Remote within Canada. Some travel may be required based on business demand.

Salary: 109,225–167,050 per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate an AI-powered operations system for incident investigation and troubleshooting.
• Develop secure tools and integrations that allow AI systems to query operational data and act on infrastructure.
• Build agentic workflows and reasoning loops, improving accuracy, latency, and reliability.
• Create evaluation frameworks and feedback loops to measure and improve AI-generated investigations.
• Strengthen least-privilege access controls, security, and auditing for AI-driven operations.
• Partner with engineering teams to convert operational expertise into automated workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; a master's degree is preferred.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience operating production systems.
• Proficiency in Python and experience integrating large language models into applications.
• Practical, product-minded approach to ambiguous problems and ability to iterate quickly.
• Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• Foreign nationals from sanctioned countries or listed Ukrainian regions working on a permit are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic systems, LLM tool use, or retrieval-augmented applications.
• Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol or similar tool-integration frameworks.
• Experience evaluating AI systems and measuring output quality.
• Background in distributed systems, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, or operational tooling.
• Experience with security and access control for production infrastructure.
