Solutions Architect - Public Sector

Location: Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, D.C.

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD annually, with potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with sales teams to identify customer use cases and demonstrate how the Databricks platform addresses business needs.
• Provide technical leadership as public-sector customers evaluate and adopt the platform.
• Design big-data architectures, build proof-of-concepts, and implement data science and machine learning solutions.
• Validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
• Create reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications for customers.
• Build relationships with customers and developer communities through meetups, conferences, and webinars, while traveling to customers in the region.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting roles.
• Experience designing distributed data systems and supporting public-sector clients.
• Programming and debugging experience with at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in data engineering, data warehousing, or data science and machine learning technologies.
• Top Secret Security Clearance required.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or another quantitative discipline.
