Senior Biostatistician (R)

Location: Brisbane, California; remote roles are limited to candidates based in the United States.

Salary: $124,000–$155,000 USD for San Francisco Bay Area roles; $112,000–$140,000 USD for US-only remote roles, with potential bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Provide statistical expertise for the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical studies.
• Collaborate on study planning, protocol development, statistical methodology, and analysis.
• Perform sample size calculations and ad hoc statistical analyses.
• Develop statistical analysis plans, analysis specifications, and analytical pipelines.
• Quality-control analytical results and support data interpretation, publications, and accurate data presentation.
• Represent biostatistics on study teams and collaborate with clinical operations, data management, laboratory operations, and Medicare affairs.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in statistics, mathematics, computational methods, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of biotech or related industry experience with a PhD, or 5 years with a Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in R is required; SAS is optional.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and project management skills.
• US employment eligibility is required for roles based in the United States, including US-only remote roles.

Nice to have

• Experience in the diagnostics industry.
• Experience and impact sufficient for consideration at the Staff level.
• Knowledge of SAS.
