Strategic Projects Lead, Public Sector - Cyber (AI)

Location: Washington, DC, United States

Base salary: $139,200–$174,000 USD per year, plus potential equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable operations infrastructure for high-quality data labeling and evaluation pipelines.
• Own day-to-day delivery of high-priority data production programs and progressively take responsibility for major customer pipelines.
• Partner with machine learning and go-to-market teams to design taxonomies, scope engagements, and validate technical feasibility.
• Define human data strategies and coordinate technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve quality, scalability, and platform leverage.
• Manage program-level COGS through workforce planning, tooling decisions, and process optimization.
• Work with customers and subject matter experts to translate requirements and domain expertise into measurable data outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
• 2–3 years of experience in product development, data science, or operations.
• Successful project management experience and comfort working in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to analyze operational data, build queries, identify trends, and optimize processes.
• Technical understanding of supervised fine-tuning, RLHF, RLVR, and generative AI data production workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense technology or an AI company.
• Technical degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of machine learning operations for generative AI workflows and products.
