Manager, Innovation (InsurTech)

Location: Hybrid in Short Hills, New Jersey; Branchville, New Jersey may be used until the future headquarters is operational.

Salary: USD $130,000–$168,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead innovation initiatives across the plan, explore, deploy, and scale phases.
• Work with research, insights, and Corporate Strategy teams to identify priority innovation domains and source new concepts.
• Manage InsurTech-focused venture capital relationships, vendor partnerships, and external co-creation efforts.
• Lead concept design, pilots, and proof-of-concept solutions focused on customer, agent, and employee validation.
• Maintain a transparent innovation pipeline and communicate program status, outcomes, prioritization, and business cases.
• Lead, train, and mentor innovation colleagues while promoting innovation methodologies across the organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of related experience in innovation.
• Experience in business consulting, corporate development, branding, innovation, or developing new products, services, and business solutions.
• Advanced analytical, strategic thinking, problem-definition, and problem-solving skills, including financial modeling and revenue forecasting.
• Experience leading proof-of-concept solutions and validating concepts with customers.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, partnership management, communication, project management, and planning skills.
• Experience using customer-centric design thinking methods, including ideation, prototyping, testing, feedback, and journey mapping.

Nice to have

• College degree in business, technology, or a related field.
• Experience in a property and casualty insurance environment.
• 2+ years of experience in a technology-heavy digital consumer product or platform company.
