Software Engineer I-1 (Embedded)

Location: Onsite in Sunrise, Florida, United States; occasional local travel is required. The role involves working in an office and manufacturing environment. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR regulations; U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $60,500–$92,500 per year.

What you will do

• Design, code, debug, test, deploy, and maintain software throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop modular, reusable, testable, and scalable code using C#, .NET, Java, C++, and/or web UI technologies.
• Simulate, integrate, and validate software while writing unit tests and applying debugging techniques.
• Support algorithm design based on detailed software requirements and participate in design reviews.
• Use JIRA to track work and collaborate with software and engineering teams across multiple programs.
• Contribute to Scrum-based development under the guidance of senior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience developing Windows or Linux application software.
• Expertise in at least one of C#/.NET, Java, C++, or web UI development.
• Experience with object-oriented design, data structures, databases, operating systems, source control, unit testing, IDEs, and basic debugging.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qt, test-driven development, Android, iOS, or React/Redux web development.
• Basic networking knowledge.
