Agile Coach

TL;DR

Agile Coach (SAFe): Enabling and governing hirify.global’s Program Increment process while coaching Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, teams, and leadership with an accent on PI Planning, scaled agile delivery, and organizational change. Focus on improving flow and predictability, managing cross-team dependencies, facilitating Inspect & Adapt events, and aligning business priorities with technology execution.

Location: Remote – U.S.A.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, with a possible discretionary incentive program and benefits.

What you will do

• Govern and enable the Program Increment process across assigned programs using SAFe-aligned practices and delivery standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop Release Train Engineers responsible for Agile Release Train operations.
• Prepare and facilitate quarterly PI Planning events, including capacity planning, backlog readiness, objectives, risks, and dependencies.
• Oversee in-PI execution, cross-team ceremonies, program metrics, impediments, and escalation paths.
• Drive Inspect & Adapt events, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and measurable outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and executive leadership on organizational change and business-value alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• More than five years of experience leading software teams at program level, typically 5–8 years, including at least two years coordinating multiple teams.
• Facilitation or co-facilitation of at least three PI Planning events and large-scale events with 50+ participants.
• Minimum of two active SAFe or Agile certifications; SAFe RTE certification is preferred.
• Experience with leadership without authority, executive coaching, cross-functional communication, flow and predictability metrics, dependency management, and conflict resolution.
• Working knowledge of SAFe 6.0, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and product and engineering processes.

Nice to have

• Graduate-level qualification in agile project management or organizational transformation.
• Certifications such as SAFe RTE, SPC, SASM, PSM, or ICP-ACC.
• Experience with Jira Plans, Azure DevOps, Linear, Miro, Mural, Tableau, Power BI, and related planning and metrics tools.
