Strategic Finance Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote, limited to the United States and Canada

What you will do

• Own and continuously improve the integrated three-statement financial model, forecasts, and long-range plans.
• Translate bookings, revenue, pricing, customer behavior, headcount, and expenses into financial projections and scenario analyses.
• Evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, financing alternatives, valuations, synergies, returns, and accretion or dilution.
• Analyze capitalization, ownership, shareholder proceeds, payout waterfalls, liquidity, and capital requirements.
• Lead planning and performance management with functional leaders, identifying business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare decision-ready materials for executives, the board, investors, lenders, and external advisors.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, corporate development, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment.
• Exceptional financial modeling skills, including integrated three-statement models, transaction analysis, valuation, and multi-scenario forecasting.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and understanding of how operating decisions affect the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
• Ability to turn detailed analysis into executive-level recommendations and explain complex financial topics to non-finance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated judgment, discretion, maturity, ownership, and attention to detail in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-growth B2B software, fintech, payments, or recurring and usage-based business models.
• Experience evaluating acquisitions, financing alternatives, or strategic transactions.
• Familiarity with cap tables, equity financings, transaction waterfalls, and shareholder-return analysis.
• Experience preparing materials for boards, investors, lenders, or senior executives.
• Exposure to operational planning, pricing analysis, sales compensation, financial systems, planning platforms, or business-intelligence tools.
