Mechanical Engineer - AutoCAD (m/f/d) (Conveying Technology and Steel Structures): Developing detailed mechanical engineering designs for conveying technology systems and logistics automation solutions with an accent on AutoCAD, layout design, steelwork, and safety standards. Focus on coordinating building interfaces, preparing installation documentation, resolving site issues, and supporting commissioning teams.
Location: Algés, Portugal; remote work option available, with occasional local or international travel for up to one month per year.

What you will do
- Develop detailed engineering designs for conveying technology systems.
- Analyze system layouts and components, identify faults, and validate technical specifications.
- Design steel structures such as maintenance platforms, crossovers, and stairs.
- Prepare mechanical design and installation documentation for customer approval and execution.
- Coordinate building interfaces, including space requirements, architectural clashes, accessibility, and safety.
- Manage site problem reports and support installation and commissioning teams when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong experience with AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Experience with steel structures and layout design.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment safety standards, such as the Machinery Directive.
- Strong written and spoken English; ability to work in an international environment.
- Availability to work across different time zones and travel locally or internationally for periods of up to one month per year.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Inventor, SolidWorks, or Revit.
- Leadership skills, organizational capacity, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach.
