Mechanical Engineer (Logistics)

Location: Algés or Maia, Portugal. Remote work option available.

What you will do

• Develop detailed engineering for conveying technology systems.
• Analyze layouts and system parts to identify faults and specific requirements.
• Design steelwork, including maintenance platforms, crossovers, and stairs.
• Deliver mechanical design documentation for customer approval.
• Coordinate building interfaces regarding space requirements, architectural clashes, and safety.
• Support installation and commissioning teams on-site and manage site problem reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Mandatory strong experience and skills in AutoCAD.
• Experience in steel structures and layout design.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment safety standards (e.g., Machinery Directive).
• Strong English proficiency, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel locally or internationally for periods of up to 1 month per year.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or Revit.
• Leadership skills, organizational capacity, and a proactive mindset.
