Regulatory Compliance Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; US work authorization required.

Salary: $62,400–$85,800 annual base salary with a 12% incentive.

What you will do

• Submit rate, rule, and form filings to state departments of insurance and secure timely regulatory approvals.
• Prepare responses to regulatory questions, filing notices, and updates to underwriting processes.
• Interpret state insurance laws and assess the impact of regulatory bulletins and changes on company products and operations.
• Act as a compliance liaison for underwriting teams and communicate requirements to internal partners.
• Coordinate responses to consumer and insurance department complaints with legal and underwriting stakeholders.
• Participate in internal and external compliance examinations and maintain procedures for assigned states.

Requirements

• US work authorization is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Ability to interpret state insurance laws and regulations accurately.
• Experience preparing or supporting rate, rule, and form filings and regulatory approvals.
• Ability to communicate compliance requirements to underwriting and other internal teams.
• Ability to investigate complaints and support compliance examinations.
