Senior Sales Engineer - West Canada (Networking & Security)

Location: Remote in West Canada, with frequent field work and required travel; home-office locations include Edmonton, Burnaby, and Victoria.

Base salary: CAD 175,000–185,000 annually, plus bonus or commissions.

What you will do

• Build business cases and technical differentiation for sales opportunities by educating customers and partners.
• Create presentations, demonstrations, webinars, and other pre-sales engineering content.
• Design solution architectures and diagrams showing integrations with hirify.global and third-party technologies.
• Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate discovery, tailor demos and proofs of concept, analyze customer environments, and communicate AI-driven capabilities.
• Train partner technical sales teams and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
• Collaborate with account managers, field sales teams, customers, and partners.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience with networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, IPv4/IPv6, and network infrastructure.
• Experience in cloud or security environments with at least one of AWS, Azure, VMware, Kubernetes, HBSS, next-generation firewalls, TIPS, IPS/IDS, or DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices and direct experience with at least one security product.
• DDI experience covering DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and customer-facing communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree; frequent field work and travel are required.

Nice to have

• CCSP, CISSP, CASP, CySA, or CEH certification.
• Experience with AI-powered security solutions and tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Glean.
