Senior Engine Performance Engineer (Systems Integration)

Location: Desford, Leicestershire, United Kingdom; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation to the United Kingdom is being considered.

Salary: £57,700–£72,000 per year, depending on demonstrated skills.

What you will do

• Define engine performance requirements and standards with vehicle performance and integration teams.
• Lead diesel engine integration across wheel loaders, telehandlers, backhoe loaders, and other machine platforms.
• Work with vehicle systems teams and engine suppliers to develop validation strategies and test plans.
• Analyze engine and emissions system performance data from development and customer fleets to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Lead root-cause investigations for engine, machine, and systems integration issues.
• Deliver validated solutions that improve reliability, product performance, and customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent capability gained through relevant industry experience.
• Experience applying engineering principles to complex systems analysis, technical investigations, and engineering solutions.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine performance, emissions systems, and machine integration.
• Experience with testing, validation, diagnostics, machine instrumentation, data acquisition, vehicle telematics, Vector CANape, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, technical communication, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Desford five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with off-highway or mobile equipment applications.
• Experience analyzing and visualizing engineering data with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
